post exam baking syndrome

exams are over!! this calls for a celebration!! have been itching to bake eversince the apple tarts. really loving the puff pastry. XD so versatile.








tantalising, don't they? smells awesome. =D

here's the sausage roll recipe. =)

-700g of sausage with skin removed
-black pepper and salt
-1 onion, diced
-puff pastry sheets
-2cups of bread crumbs
-1 egg
-1egg with milk for brushing the top (eggwash)
-1 tbsp of fresh sage
i omitted the salt and added a stick of carrot for a healthier option. for the bread crumbs, just toast the bread slices in the oven at 150degrees till they are dry then pop them in the food processor. 2slices makes abt 1cup.
1. grate the carrots and fry with the onions til brown.
2. mix the bread crumbs, sausage mince, egg, sage.
3. put the onions and carrots into the mix. mix well.
4. put mixture in puff pastry and roll it up, sealing it with the eggwash.
5. brush eggwash on the top and bake at 200degrees(fan-forced) for 25min.
